Social and Recreational Groups

Wine Bottles

In addition to the events listed in the Events Calendar, the Club is pleased to provide a range of other social and recreational activities.

These activities, such as billiards and snooker, golf, sporting guns, bridge, and mahjong are managed by members who encourage other members, irrespective of knowledge or skill levels, to join the fun. To register your interest you must be a current member of the club.  If you are interested in becoming a member please visit the membership page.

The Landunna Guns

The Landunna Guns is the title of the NMAFC Shooting Interest Group. It focuses on the “Sporting Clays” discipline, a simulated field format.


This group has a great following and always welcome new members, regardless of shooting experience. Members can participate in numerous interclub competitions and social off-site activities hosted throughout the year. The Landunna Guns are also engaged with other Reciprocal Clubs interstate and overseas

Military History

The Military History nights provide a diverse range of lectures of interest to the Club members and guests. The lecture and dinner style events will be held every month on a Thursday evening.

The BS&B Club will host bi-monthly dinners that focus on guests interacting and commenting on masked wines while enjoying a sumptuous dinner curated exclusively by the Chef.

The Mah-jong Club meets every Monday morning in the Ward Room for a little friendly competition followed by a casual bar lunch.

Club Library

The Club Library offers a wide range of history and military books available for members to read. The Club Library is proud to host one of the best collections of military books in Adelaide.

Defence Industry

This group is open to Club members interested in matters concerning the defence industry. Members will be advised of relevant Defence Industry events hosted at the Club, providing a fantastic networking opportunity.

NMAFC Sailing Team

NAVY | ARMY | AIR FORCE

Annual Inter-Service Teams Yachting Challenge celebrating the Club’s sporting comradery.


The team will meet informally at the Club from time-to-time to discuss sailing ‘rules of the road’ and strategies, attend CYCSA on-boat training sessions, leading to competition with other Serving and Served ADF Teams; sharing Club celebration of the 50yr long reciprocal association of the NMAFC and the CYCSA.
