Dinner With Friends

The cost includes a welcome drink and a 3-course meal. You may order wines of your choice by buying by the glass, or ordering special bottle to share, at your own cost from the bar. The tables will be set up for small groups. Book a table with friends, bring family or invite non-members to join you, or ask to join a club table. The format provides the opportunity for members to invite people to join us for a delicious and relaxed dinner in the special ambience of the Club, preceded by an interesting presentation.

Our first guest presenter is Peter Maddern.

Peter is a local Adelaide writer and producer with a passion for photography. He has become one of Sir Hubert’s biggest fans, helping to spread the Wilkins story. His two plays were acclaimed by critics and audiences at the 2020 and 2022 Fringes. He has made a documentary film, The Eye of Wilkins and written a book of Sir Hubert’s photography. In this presentation Peter makes the case for a greater recognition of Sir Hubert Wilkins as a world class photographer.
