Dunkirk is 1958 British film starring John Mills, Richard Attenborough and Bernard Lee. The film follows the story of an English journalist who strives to warn his readers of the dangers of Germany during the ‘Phoney’ war period. It also follows the story of a group of British soldiers trying to escape from France. This film has always been the best Dunkirk film and, showing it in May, coincides with the 85th anniversary of this momentous event of WW2.
